Sebastian Ortiz
The Edgewater-raised singer-songwriter Sebastian Ortiz brings a classic folk renaissance sound to indie-rock. As a student from the EVG class of 2012, EVG was Sebastian's home from kindergarten to the sixth grade. "It was at EVG where I first began to fall in love with music. The teachers were so supportive and challenged the students to be the best version of themselves. Teachers like Mrs. Castaldo, Mrs. Salandra, and Mrs. King, among many others, helped to shape me into the person I am today." Now approaching his mid-twenties, the rising star is ready to combine his varied inspirations to launch himself into the spotlight in New Jersey and beyond. "Think about the power of the individual and the contribution we each make to society - if we push ourselves to be different and to not settle into the ideals and molds pushed on us, we, as a society, can create something truly great.”
